Building Race to the Sea Part Three!

Sorry not to have posted lately but we've been busy since we've been away! As you can see from the pictures most of the painting is done and we've spent today going flocking mad! There's still quite a bit to do but it is looking a lot better than it did before!

The town buildings still need working on too, but that will be taken care of before Salute. Less than two weeks to go and the clock is certainly ticking. But at least we are a lot further forward this year than we usually are!

I'm working hard on the figures too, at least the French Fusiliers Marin battalion are done thanks to the great work by Sander who converted and painted them all for us! The Belgian infantry are coming along and the Germans too. I've still got three batteries of Belgian artillery to finish but we'll get there.

  1. Nice work guys! Looking great those scenics, I do think some more wheatering would look good on the buildings they look a bit too pristine to me...

Am also very curious after the way the Marines look now you've based them... Cheers Sander

    1. Hi Sander Yes there's still quite a way to go with the buildings, they all need a good wash and a drybrush - trouble is that time is running out! Hopefully they will all be done in time. We only took the pictures to remind ourselves where each building goes! I'll see if I can take a picture of the Fusiliers now they are all done - you've seen my basing style though, it doesn't change!

      Cheers

  2. Glad to have found your blog. (We had a chat at SELWG in October-you must remember!). The layout looks very impressive and if I can make Salute I look forward to seeing for real.
